Steve Wariner and LeAnn Rimes are helping the Grand Ole Opry with a couple of special events.
The Opry is turning 88 this weekend, and Wariner is headlining the Opry's Birthday Bash. He'll play a special Opry Birthday Concert Saturday afternoon. After his performance Steve will meet fans and autograph his latest album, "It Ain't All Bad," at The Opry Shop.
The two-day event begins Friday, and will feature an Opry birthday cake, games, backstage tours, a silent auction, and free performances in the Opry Plaza. Mark Wills, Kathy Mattea, and Crystal Gayle are some of the performers on board for Friday's Opry show.
Wariner will return for Saturday night's shows, which will also feature Casey James, John Conlee, "Nashville's" Sam Palladio, and others.
And later this month LeAnn Rimes will help the Opry "go pink." She's been tapped to flip the switch to bathe the Opry's barn backdrop in a pink light for the Opry's annual breast cancer awareness event. Lorrie Morgan, Pam Tillis, Natalie Grant, and Mandisa are set to perform at the show, which is set for October 22nd.
