Some number-crunchers at the dating site Zoosk figured out which opening messages get the best response – and which opening messages fall flat.
Messages that use the word “adorable” get 66% more responses than average. Messages that compliment someone’s glasses get 39% more responses. And, messages that use the word “weather” get 39% more responses.
You’ll also want to keep in mind that messages that use the word “hi” get 22% FEWER responses than average. Even worse, messages that use the word “hey” get 35% fewer responses. (Ask Men)
