John Weston of Port Charlotte, FL claims his new fuel system allows his 1992 Geo Storm to get, a calculated (since he drove his car 14.8 miles on just 4 oz. of gas) 463 miles per gallon. He says he disconnected his fuel line from his engine before running it into a special tank called the AVFS (short for ' Air Vapor Flow System), which provides gas fumes and air into the engine. "Since I changed the fuel system unit, it's drastically different. I disconnected the fuel line from the injector so no liquid goes to the engine. They used to say, 'Hey I'm running on empty. I'm running on fumes.' Well, this is actually running on fumes.” One mechanic said John's system, which primarily sends fumes, instead of liquid gas to the engine, could damage a car's motor. But Weston states that his AVFS fuel system has been tested at a reputable facility in Columbus, Indiana where they test Cummins engines, and has been proven that his system does not cause damage to an engine when adjusted properly.
